Day 13: Phoenix, Arizona
A return to Scottsdale. My sis-in-law grilled the tastiest quesadillas and we played a rousing game of Last Word. Until the largest, weirdest thunderstorm I've ever lived through hit Phoenix around 10PM; actually, it turns out four thunderstorms converged into one epic light show. They were counting about 10,000 lightning strikes per hour. Chris said it was like watching the last half hour of any Will Smith movie. Intense!
The next morning, we rode along to see my nephew and niece dropped off at school, which was darling. I offered to walk them to class while I held their hands and sang lullabies. They declined.
