Day Six: Deadwood, South Dakota

Our second night in Deadwood (the only place where we stayed an extra night). First, an amble through Mount Moriah cemetery, where Wild Bill is buried. Lots of empty bottles of whiskey left graveside, as well as personal messages to the long-dead lawman.

Back to Main Street at sundown for a lively reenactment of the capture of Jack McCall, the man who shot Wild Bill Hickok. Twilight, gas lamps, sunburned tourists, men in Civil War jackets acting all 1876.
