Where in the Hal is Holbrook? It's a town on Route 66 and home to the famous (but now shuttered) Wigwam Village, one of the last three remaining Wigwam Motels in the world. We weren't there for but a minute when a bus of British sightseers stopped. After chatting them up, we learned they are touring Route 66. I've never seen people so agog over a crumbly-but-still-charming building. Oh wait, yes I have.
The grass may be greener in England for Anglophiles like me, but I guess the dirt is always browner out West for Americaphiles like them? Anyway, the iconic Wigwam Village:
